We're Luke and Lauren — the two people behind Golden Thread Chai.

We've been making things together for a long time. Before chai, it was leather — high end, handmade goods crafted in the Blue Mountains. Four years ago we packed up, moved the family to Newcastle, and started over. Same hands. Different materials.

Golden Thread Chai came from a place of genuine need. Lauren has practised yoga for over twenty five years — chai has been a constant companion through all of it. But good chai, real chai, has always been hard to find. Cafe versions are almost always a powder or a syrup. Nothing like the real thing.

So we made our own.

Every batch is blended by hand in our Newcastle studio. Twelve spices, each roasted individually, combined with the same care and attention we've always brought to making things. We chose compostable packaging because it was the right call. We keep our batches small because quality matters more than volume.

We're not a big operation. We're two people who care deeply about what we put into the world — in business and in life. Golden Thread is an extension of that.
